Projects
Hat Trick at Cheshire Show
We are very proud of our talented members who won the WI combined class for a third consecutive year with their 1920s exhibit celebrating "90 Glorious Years"of CFWI. As well as delicious food items there were fine examples of embroidery, dressmaking and decoupage in our display.
Community Projects
Many of our members are involved in community activities and charities in Willaston and Neston and provide support to various groups.
Exchange with DeutcherHausfrau Bund
We have been able to re-establish contact with a women's group in our twin town ,Reutlingen and will visit them during our visit to The Christmas Market in November with the hope of establishing an exchange.
Help For Victims Of Domestic Violence
In October and November members were asked to bring to the meetings toiletries and essentials to help women who arrive at a refuge without their basic needs. The response was overwhelming and we were able to make up a good quantity of "Night Bags" to assist them until they can settle in. At the January meeting we received thanks for all our efforts from the refuge both for the bags and for a quantity of children's activity materials which were donated. We hope that this will be an ongoing project.
