The Women's Institute is the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK with 205,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands. Its concerns range from climate change to cooking, from crafts to community projects, from healthy eating to Fairtrade fortnights, from traditional values to new friendships.

Over the summer life was much quieter- with no stand at the RHS flower show, this gave us some breathing time to prepare for the Nantwich Show, where we had a small stand.

"Serving Time" by Erwin James
Members of Warmingham and District WI welcomed, as their speaker, Erwin James, who is a Guardian columnist, author, graduate, and an ex-convict who was released from prison in 2004.

Fashion and Flowers
Unfortunately, the venue has had to be changed at short notice, and we have been lucky to secure the Portal Golf Club, Tarporley, for this event.
