Chairman's letter for January

A Happy New Year to everyone.I am extremely proud to be Chairman of Cheshire Federation being part of events like our Cathedral Carol Service bringing together so many of our members. What a wonderful and moving experience it was with the W.I. decorated Christmas Tree taking its place next to the County Choir. Once again our Musical Director and the choir "raised the roof" and I know Jerusalem brought a tear to many an eye. Thanks to everyone for helping create this. We welcomed 2 new W.I's and a new Group at the end of last year, I am sure they are looking forward to being active members of our inspiring organisation and being part of our lively County.

The Cheshire Show schedule will now be with you and I am sure you are all planning how to portray "Best of Britain". We look forward to finding out in June. March 13th will be our Annual Council Meeting at Winsford when I will have completed my first year. I have still not visited all the Groups but look forward to meeting you all soon. I hope you are enjoying the Pen Portraits in Cheshire News, putting faces to names and finding out about them.
